Gum Springs Baptist Church , along with the support of Upward^®, is committed to Connecting Kids to Christ by building them up spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially and teaching them that Every Child Is A Winner. We are committed to presenting a clear and understandable presentation of the Gospel of Christ for young and old alike. We are not only reaching out to the children in the sports program but also realize we are able to reach the adult spectators during our half-time devotion.

Spending time with God is central in all that we do and Upward^® has Godly adult leaders that help our children to experience this from their own personal experience. We seek to help them to understand that all we do is "Unto the Lord."

Who knows what skills will be developed in a Christian atmosphere that will carry over into adult life. Under the coaching of Christian adults who love kids, the Lord is given freedom to work in powerful ways in these young lives.

The dream of many young girls is to be a cheerleader. Upward^® provides this chance to learn the skills under Christian adults that love young people and want to mentor them to all that God can make them to be. A young girl once told her cheer coach, "I want to do the best I can, because I want people to love Jesus because of what they see me do."

Our 2009-10 season starts soon! Please download your registration form here, if your child did not receive one through his/her school. They will also be available at evaluations, which will be held Nov. 5th & 6th from 6-8pm and Nov. 7th from 3-6pm. Practices start the week of November 30th and the first games are January 9th, 2010. Our Awards Night is scheduled for February 27, 2010. Please join us!
