God has uniquely gifted each of us to serve His church. In doing this, we follow the example of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve.

Serving is a great way to:

  • Make a difference in the lives of others

You don’t need experience—just a willingness to serve.

Ways to Serve

There are many ways to use your gifts and be part of what God is doing at Gum Springs. We believe every person has a place to serve and make an impact.

Worship

  • Serve by helping lead others in worship and create an environment centered on God.
    • Examples: worship team, musicians, singers, audio/visual, media, prayer team

Discipleship

  • Help others grow in their faith through teaching, encouragement, and spiritual leadership.
    • Examples: Sunday School teachers, children’s ministry, student ministry, Bible studies, mentoring

Evangelism

  • Share the gospel and help others come to know Christ.
    • Examples: visitor follow-up, community invitations, sharing your testimony, basketball league, Vaction Bible School, and other events

Outreach

  • Serve the practical needs of our church family and local community.
    • Examples: hospitality, food ministry, benevolence, community service projects, greeters, marketing
